I read your mother’s letter and shared it with my mom since we are in the process of figuring this out between the two of us–very similar to your story. I also live in NYC and am currently studying family therapy with a background degree in theology (I was once a pastor’s wife). My goal is to attain a PhD in gender identity in order to become a liaison for families in similar situations. I would love to meet you or hear you speak sometime.
