Kimberly is a self-avowed church nerd with nearly 20 years experience in a wide range of technology settings + an M.Div from Candler School of Theology. She has a long history of back-pew sitting, Wednesday night supper eating and generally trying God’s patience since 1969. She leads “social media for ministry” intensives around the country, helping faith leaders explore authentic ways to enrich, engage and expand progressive communities in the 21st century. She is the former pastor of Koinonia Church, an online church in Second Life and is now the proud proprietor of The Holy Heretic, a thinking person’s tavern also found in Second Life. Kimberly lives with her partner and children in the Kirkwood neighborhood of Atlanta where they are active members of Kirkwood UCC.

I simply cannot pretend to understand as Christian any conversation that includes questions as to whether or not I am an acceptable “way” of being human.

I am not a “way” of being human, I am a child of God.

For folks who holler about Christians not playing politics, you fundamentally miss the mark.

Advent is a season of waiting for the In-Breaking of Peace, waiting for the Incarnation of Love. It is a season for lighting candles in the darkness because we believe the Light of the world will soon shed the light of eternal love and justice on every dark corner of the world.
